Chipolbrok has transported approximately 24,100 tonnes of general cargo from Shanghai to destinations across Europe.

After sailing via Singapore and the Suez Canal the first port of call for Chipolbrok Moon was Bilbao in Spain, where approximately 4,200 tonnes of metal and wind turbine blades were discharged.

Chipolbrok Moon continued on to Esbjerg, Denmark to offload 209 units of breakbulk cargo, weighing nearly 1,244 tonnes in total.

The cargoes included electricity transmission infrastructure components that will be used to transfer power from offshore wind farms to the hinterland, said Chipolbrok.

The units were offloaded using the ship’s own cranes and placed directly onto trucks for onward transportation to the project site.

The vessel then continued on to Hamburg to discharge 27 pieces of high-tech equipment.
